Their detailed yet linear-focused designs give them a modern, elegant appearance, bringing the rich history of these pieces to the modern home. Craftsmen produce a compact pile by tightly beating down a thicker weft between rows of knots alongside a thinner weft. They weave the pile out of wool and craft the foundation with cotton, wool, or camel wool.
From the ornate borders and grand medallions to the absolutely beautiful repeating patterns, each rug from Khotan is a masterpiece on its own.
