Flatweave rugs/ dhurries are made using the traditional weaving technique in which the yarn is tightly intertwined. The warp and weft strands of the weave are woven together to produce a flat surface with no pile. The flat weaving process is a time consuming and labour intensive technique and the end product is a beautiful intricately designed handwoven rug that has the same pattern on both sides. Our master craftsmen hand weave these rugs using the centuries-old techniques of their ancestors.
